David Butler
MANAGING DIRECTOR
David is a security and risk management professional with over 20 years of international experience across the mining, energy, and humanitarian sectors.
A former British Parachute Regiment soldier, he has led security operations and risk management programmes throughout the UK, the Middle East, and Africa, supporting international mining organisations including BHP, ArcelorMittal, Barrick Gold, Petra Diamonds, Lifezone Metals, Tembo Nickel, Faru Graphite, and Cornish Lithium.
David is recognised for his expertise in implementing ESG principles and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights into complex security operations.

Rob Strachan
BUSINESS AND STRATEGY ADVISOR
Rob is a security expert with 25 years of international experience across the defence, mining, and energy sectors.
A graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Cranfield University, he has held senior leadership positions in both the military and private sector, supporting organisations operating in challenging environments.
Based in South Africa, Rob is the third generation of his family to live and work in Africa, giving him a deep understanding of the region's operating environment, cultures, and business landscape. He specialises in security governance, crisis management, and the integration of responsible security and ESG principles into operational practice.
